Born and raised in Abbotsford, Benjamin Mehrer is a proud graduate of Abbotsford’s public schools and the University of the Fraser Valley. He works with, employs and mentors young people, giving him a firsthand understanding of their potential, the challenges they face and the opportunities our community can create when students come first. Benjamin is running for Abbotsford School Trustee to bring a practical, collaborative and student-focused voice to the Board.

How I will support youth:

• I will put student voices at the centre of decisions and create meaningful opportunities for young people to share their experiences, ideas and concerns.

• I will support strong foundations for success, including evidence-based learning, early literacy support and clear, measurable outcomes.

• I will advocate for meaningful mental health and well-being supports so every student feels safe, supported and ready to learn.

• I will strengthen communication and trust among students, families, educators and the School Board.

• I will help prepare students for every path after graduation, including university, skilled trades, entrepreneurship and the workforce.

• I will promote transparent and responsible budgeting so education dollars have the greatest possible impact for students.
