Meagan Brame has called Esquimalt home for more than 30 years. She is a former municipal councillor, Early Childhood Educator and graduate of the University of Victoria with a BA in Child and Youth Care. Her career has centred around children, youth and families, giving her a strong understanding of the importance of listening to young people and creating opportunities for them to be involved.

Years ago, Meagan brought forward the policy that gives youth voting rights on some Township advisory committees. She would like to build on that work by expanding youth voting opportunities to more committees.

As a councillor, Meagan would also work to:
• Create safe and welcoming spaces for youth.
• Support affordable recreation, arts, sports and employment opportunities.
• Work with community partners to address youth homelessness.

Meagan believes young people have great ideas—and deserve a real seat at the table when decisions affecting their community are made.
