Chandan Chahal knows what it takes to keep a community safe and what it takes to build something
from nothing. Trained in law enforcement at the Justice Institute of British Columbia, he spent years on
the front lines of public safety before building a small business in Fleetwood, where he and his family
make their home. He mentors young people in Surrey and has seen what a stable program does for a
teenager who needs somewhere to belong. Chandan is running for council to bring frontline credibility
and a business owner's accountability to City Hall, with a focus on safe streets and a city that makes it
easier, not harder, to start and grow a business.
