Narima Dela Cruz has spent nearly two decades volunteering for Surrey. She is a community leader and
advocate, and the founder of SPIDS, an organization representing Surrey's Filipino community, one of
the fastest-growing communities in the city. Narima has built her reputation the slow way, by showing
up: for newcomers finding their footing, for families who need a hand, and for the cultural events that
make Surrey feel like home to people from everywhere. She is running for council to keep Surrey
affordable, safe, and connected, and to make sure the communities that built this city have a voice in
where it goes next.
