Born and raised in the Shuswap, Jaxon earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Victoria and is now beginning his first year of law at the University of Alberta.

His interest in politics and youth engagement began with youth wings before taking on advisory roles for parties and candidates at various levels of government. Jaxon believes that youth are too often ignored in politics despite ultimately having the most stake in the future. He wants young people to pay more attention to British Columbia’s political landscape and believes this can meaningfully start at the smallest, most immediate level. Having focused his undergraduate studies and early career experience on hydrology and environmental management, Jaxon is particularly interested in local environmental considerations such as water conservation and biodiversity initiatives.
