Jo Kang is a first-term School Trustee serving students, families, and the community of Kamloops. During his first term, Jo has had the opportunity to listen to families, work with fellow trustees and school district staff, and gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing our schools.

Jo believes that every student deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and feel supported at school. He is committed to listening to parents, students, teachers, and support staff and making thoughtful decisions that keep students and families at the centre.

As a trustee, Jo strives to be approachable, accountable, and connected to the community. He understands the responsibility that comes with serving on the Board and takes seriously the impact that school board decisions have on students and families.

Jo is seeking re-election so he can continue the work he started in his first term, build on the experience he has gained, and keep working toward strong, welcoming schools for students and families across Kamloops.
